I grew up in Owen Sound not noticing the glorious landscape and expansive water views.
After University, for decades, I lived in various communities in Southern and Eastern Ontario; all with their own attractions and amenities. But I made the frequent 7-hour trek from Ottawa (often to attend Summerfolk), mostly through Algonquin park. That route through Collingwood, coming around the bend in the road, the immense display of Georgian Bay opening up in front of me was always the dramatic hit of Dopamine and Endorphins I didn’t know I needed. I moved back in 2022, because it is my home.
