One-Act plays are officially back! Three plays will be presented each night: Finger Food directed by Sheilah Spurr, A Marriage Proposal directed by Valerie Underwood and Please, No Flowers directed by Gerrard Morrison. These short plays will offer patrons an opportunity to see 3 unique directing styles and plays in one night. Finger Food is about a method hand model and a hand-obsessed food photographer who are shooting an ad. Soon lust for one another sparks in them both. In Please, No Flowers two female ghosts, their bodies laid out in coffins at a funeral home, reflect on their lives and life choices as they watch as mourners pay their respects. A Marriage Proposal follows the young man Lomov who comes to propose to his neighbour Natalya but they keep on fighting over various topics. Through this play, Chekhov exposes the “fakeness” of the world and tries to show how superficial modern people are.
