Blue Water Jazz Collective — High-Energy Modern Jazz
Back by popular demand after three highly acclaimed, sold-out 2026 performances, the Blue Water Jazz Collective returns to Parkwood for a special Sunday afternoon jazz matinee.
The bands powerful grooves and inventive arrangements bring a fresh approach to some of jazz’s most iconic standards, from hard-driving 4/4 and 6/8 swing to Latin samba, high-energy funk and blues shuffles. The program also features Stu’s original hip-hop-inspired composition, “Blue Stew.”
Founding members Stu Steinhart and Rob Gasidlo are joined for this performance by Jay Reed on guitar and Mike Campbell on drums, bringing new energy and a new dimension to the Collective’s distinctive sound.
Expect virtuosic improvisation and spontaneous musical interplay that make every performance exciting and unique.
