Spend an afternoon exploring analogue, experimental photography in collaboration with the natural world.
The workshop includes:

Introduction to materials and process with a live demo (intro & demo)

Trail walk and foraging for natural materials (trail walk to forage materials)

Creating compositions and first sunlight exposures in the studio or outside (create compositions & exposures with the sun)

Fixing and washing prints, sharing results (fix, wash & review compositions)

Optional time for experimentation, additional exposures, and exploring personal compositions (experiment & refine)
Julie Pasila is a Tkaronto/Toronto-based artist whose practice engages with landscape and ephemeral elements like sunlight, breezes, and water. Her work has been exhibited internationally and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council. Posters for event attached!
