John Muirhead is a Toronto-based troubadour crafting big-hearted indie-folk songs for dreamers, wanderers, and hopeless romantics.
In 2025, John is set to release a new record produced by Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Luca Fogale, MONOWHALES) which will supported by a cross-Canada tour that will bring his songs to old friends and new fans alike.
From fingerpicked confessionals to foot-stomping, full-band singalongs, John’s award-winning songs have connected with listeners around the world. With over 100,000 fans on social media, over 3 million Spotify streams, and 8.5 million+ TikTok views, John is building a vibrant community rooted in story, sincerity, and connection.
John has toured extensively across Canada and Europe and has earned nominations from both the Canadian Folk Music Awards and Ontario Folk Music Awards. He’s appeared at festivals like Winnipeg Folk Festival, CityFolk, Sound of Music Festival, and Sawdust City Music Festival, and has provided support for Canada’s top roots acts, including Whitehorse, Joel Plaskett Emergency, and Craig Cardiff.
