Ahead of Treaties Recognition Week (November 2-8), we invite you to join us for a powerful presentation on our collective Treaty rights and obligations, with a specific focus on Saugeen Ojibway Nation Territory. Deeply rooted in Indigenous knowledge and practice, this insightful session will be led by Trish Nadjiwon Meekins — an Anishnaabe woman from Chippewas of Nawash, also known as Neyaashiinigmiing, and a member of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. 

 

Coffee, tea, and treats will be provided.

Trish Nadjiwon Meekins has been a therapist and a teacher of First Nations history for over 30 years and currently has a private practice in downtown Owen Sound. Trish holds a master’s in social work, based in the Indigenous Field of Knowledge from Wilfrid Laurier University. As a ‘wholistic’ practitioner, with a focus on the spirit coming first, Trish works
