Spring Concert Series at Grey Roots
Our Roots Are Showing returns to the Thomas Wheildon Theatre at Grey Roots Museum and Archives this spring. The unique concert series presents an exciting mix of well-known local performers and up-and-comers sharing their original takes on life in Grey-Bruce and the world beyond.
Our Roots Are Showing features one performance a month on a Thursday evening from March to June 2025: each for the unbeatable price of $20. Start time for all performances is 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Gracie Jet is a showstopper. Ever since she was a little girl, she longed to perform. She gave herself the handle “Gracie Jet” because in her own young words, “people need to be able to chant my name.” Now, Jet is an electric performer you can’t take your eyes off. She has played iconic Canadian venues like The Rivoli and The Monarch Tavern and a sold-out single release show at Heartwood Hall. That single, Sway, has gone on to garner international attention from press and radio.
As a songwriter is perhaps where Jet shines her brightest. Like a good friend, her music is there for you when you need it most. Jet’s songs include soaring ballads that tug at the heartstrings and anthemic rock songs that ignite the spirit. Her catalogue is a walk through her memories and experiences, each song its own unique time, place, and emotion. Her work is emotionally transparent in a very refreshing way. She bravely gives all of herself to her songs. They’re intimate, refined and, above all, passionate.
With the release of her debut album Survive in 2025, Jet has no plans of slowing down. Grey Roots is thrilled to present rising star Gracie Jet in a relaxed, acoustic setting that highlights her vocal and songwriting talents.
