Visit Grey Roots on Saturday February 8 as we celebrate Lunar New Year during the Year of the Snake!

The Grey-Bruce Chinese Heritage and Culture Association join us for this fun family event on Saturday February 8, from 10 AM – 12 PM.

The event includes cultural presentations, demos, festive décor and kid friendly activities. Highlights include:

• Meet “Caishen”, the God of Wealth
• Guzheng demonstration by Emily Bi
• Performance by the Keppel Sarawak Elementary School Choir
• Lunar New Year Celebration in Singapore from a Peranakan Perspective with Pearl Lundy
• Asian interlaced braidwork demonstration
• Spring festival couplets demonstration
• Chinese opera costumes photo booth
• Qigong exercises presentation
• Festive and cultural activities
• Yarrow sticks fortune telling
• Sampling of festive snacks … and more!

Admission to the Lunar New Year Celebration is FREE. Donations are welcome.
