Black Gold
The show title BLACK GOLD is derived from the rare quality of its performing talent but in addition it stands for the richness of songs performed by some of the world’s greatest Black entertainers. The show spotlights the magical eras of Motown, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Disco to golden contemporary hits. BLACK GOLD illustrates the evolution of pop music with songs made popular by groups such as The Drifters, The Temptations, The Four Tops to individual stars including Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and others.
The all-star cast of BLACK GOLD includes vocalists Vanessa Cobham, Tash Lorayne, Malia Love, Steve Harmony, Rudy Mayes and Carlos Morgan. The members of the Black Gold Band are Joe Palawan, Neil Brathwaite, Tim Gittens, Maurice Gordon and Dane Wedderburn.
