DESCRIPTION:Biird\, the all-female Irish Trad band will be going on tour in the US and Canada in 2026! Starting at the Minnesota Irish Festival on 8th August 2026\, Biird will embark on an 19 date headline tour across the US performing at iconic venues such as the New York Bowery Ballroom and the Los Angeles Teregram Ballroom. In addition to their own headline tour\, Biird will also be supporting Ed Sheeran on the US leg of his Loop tour\, with performances at the Rogers Centre in Toronto\, Ford Field in Detroit and the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. This comes after previously supporting him in Europe in 2025 and Australia and New Zealand at the beginning of 2026. \nMade up of Lisa Canny\, Niamh Hinchy\, Laura Doherty\, Ciara Murphy\, Zoran Donohoe\, Miadhachlughain O’Donnell\, Sal Heneghan and Hannah Hiemstra this sisterhood’s energy is unmatched! After appearing on the Late Late show in February 2025 the group went on to sell out every show on their debut Hystorical Tour\, including Vicar Street in Dublin. They then went on to play the MainStage at Altogether Now to 15000 fans. 2025 also saw them become Ambassors of the Twentieth edition of Culture Night\, an evening organized by the Irish Arts Council celebrating culture music and the Arts. Furthermore\, they won Goss.ie’s “Artists of the Year”\, featured in Vogue Magazine and released 2 music videos on YouTube “ The Rollover Set” and “The Love\nBuzz Set”.
