SUMMARY:Leeroy Stagger
DESCRIPTION:Please join us in welcoming the beloved\, award-winning singer-songwriter\, producer and master storyteller Leeroy Stagger\, as he returns for yet another lilac session – live on the studio stage\, with his trio Ryland Moranz and Tyler Lieb.\n\nWhy a lilac session? Simply put\, my lilacs will be out.🪻And Leeroy & Ryland like lilacs. \nStylistically\, his music moves between folk roots and rocknroll. His music is written through the lens of a spiritual path through addiction and recovery; he cuts a trail through the human condition in only a way that a veteran observational traveller and artist can. \nHe has supported and toured with Steve Earle\, Josh Ritter\, Buffy Sainte Marie\, Frazey Ford\, The Pixies\, Modest Mouse\, Los Lobos\, The Drive-By Truckers\, Jason Isbell\, and more. \nHe is just as at home in a cafe with an audience of 40 (that’s us!!!) as he is on a festival stage with an audience of 10\,000. \nLimited tickets for this up close & intimate live music performance & artist interaction \nLeeroy Stagger and His Trio.

SUMMARY:Biblio Arts: book arts and print fair!
DESCRIPTION:BIBLIOARTS 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBiblioArts is an annual teaching and marketplace event with the aim to support Grey-Bruce artists and fundraise for the Georgian Bay School for the Arts (GB Arts). \n\nBiblioArts is a celebration of the “Book Arts” held the weekend of Victoria Day. \n\nFor 2026\, our third annual BiblioArts will happen from Thursday to Sunday\, May 14-17. \n“The Book Arts” describes a wide range of art forms including bookbinding\, printmaking\, letterpress printing\, box-making\, paper-making\, paper marbling\, broadsides\, card-making\, zines and journals\, and so much more; it’s an exciting field and we’re happy to bring it all together for this event. \n \nThursday and Friday we’ll be featuring special guest artist Jacquie Sullivan who will lead a two-day intensive workshop on Multi-Block Relief Printing focusing on the connection between the Japanese process of Mokuhanga woodcuts and the Western techniques of multi-block linocut printmaking. In 2025 Jacquie received a Canada Council grant to study mokuhanga (Japanese water-based woodblock printmaking) at the Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory (MI-Lab) in Echizen\, Japan. You won’t want to miss this excellent opportunity to learn from a significant artist in this field \nSaturday features a Book Arts Marketplace from 9:30am-3pm including printmaking and book artists\, specialty vendors of papers\, materials\, and tools for all your book and printmaking needs. The Goods Kitchen Cafe\, located in the entrance to GB Arts\, will also be open from 9am-4pm. \n \nOn Sunday morning\, four featured workshops will run with sessions of Water Marbling\, Silk Screen printing\, and Letterpress Printing. Tickets can be found at gbarts.ca or at the links below.  \n\nOn Sunday afternoon\, the public is welcome to join BIG PRINTS!—We’re renting a steamroller and going BIG! We will be printing large-scale relief prints on 1st Ave\, behind GB Arts\, beside the beautiful boardwalk along the Sydenham River. This is a free outdoor art event running from noon until 3pm.  \nThis is all taking place in the large creative studios of GB Arts\, located on the main street in the heart of downtown Owen Sound.

SUMMARY:This is My Vulva
DESCRIPTION:A Bold\, Embodied Performance Reclaiming the Stories We Were Never Taught to Tell \nCollingwood\, Ontario – May 3 – This Is My Vulva is a powerful and provocative performance that brings the voices of twelve women into the spotlight through story\, movement\, and cultural reflection. Blending intimate narrative with contemporary dance\, the production invites audiences into a rarely spoken conversation—one that challenges shame\, dismantles silence\, and celebrates bodily autonomy. \nEach vignette explores a woman’s relationship with her vulva—at times celebratory\, at times complex\, raw\, humorous\, or deeply moving. These stories are embodied by dancers Catherine Lafond and Jodi Behan\, who interpret each narrative through expressive\, emotionally resonant movement\, giving physical form to what is often hidden or suppressed. \nWoven between the vignettes\, Fran Bouwman—artist\, educator\, comedian\, and founder of Viva la Flying Vulva—offers historical and contemporary context\, situating the personal stories within a broader cultural framework. Her reflections illuminate how social conditioning\, language\, medicine\, and media have shaped our relationships to our bodies—and how reclamation begins with curiosity and compassion. \nThis Is My Vulva is not about shock value. It is about truth-telling. It is intimate without being insular\, educational without being didactic\, and radical in its simplicity: naming what has long been left unnamed. \n“This work creates space for honesty\,” says Bouwman. “When we bring these stories into the light\, we begin to loosen the grip of shame—and that has a ripple effect far beyond the stage.”\nThe production welcomes people of all genders\, offering an entry point into conversations about body literacy\, self-worth\, and collective healing. Audiences can expect a performance that is thoughtful\, emotionally rich\, and quietly revolutionary.
