Introduction to Herbcraft at GB Arts

Herbcraft is a pleasurable way to incorporate traditional medicines and old-fashioned home comforts into your life. It also encourages slowing down to smell the flowers!

You will sew a simple aromatic eye pillow and scented sachet and make a basic ointment with a pre-infused oil while discussing other herbcraft basics such as starting a garden, teas, infusing oils, and other simple crafts. Jenna will talk about the traditional herb garden she is developing at an historic Métis home in honour of an ancestor who practiced traditional herbalism.

If you are new to sewing, we can take time to learn some basics by hand and on one of GB Arts’ sewing machines.

Students will enjoy some herbal tea and treats as they work!
